Bask in the Emptiness of No-Self

We limit our experience when we believe we are this name and form. Take a moment and see beyond what we call "the self." Recognize Truth shining through all forms. Know you are this Truth. Bask in the Emptiness. Sit quietly for a few minutes and completely let go of the notion of "You." Allow pure awareness to arise, without a self who sees. What do you discover?

On the new moon I went for a late night drive with a friend in his convertible. I wanted to go star gazing. We drove into the country and stopped in a place without ant lights for several miles. The stars were magnetic. I looked up and the stars glowed. My perception shifted and suddenly there was no me. There was only Awareness looking up at the stars. There was so much freedom in letting go of the me. While I have been practicing self-inquiry and meditation for sometime, this tasted so pure. Since then I have been practicing letting go of me and just being Awareness. It is a powerful experience of being free.

Mooji YouTube- "You Can Be Free Today"

Mooji's Teachings are Powerful - Audio Satsang 11/2/09

Mooji is a non-duality spiritual teacher. I have been listening to him on Youtube.com and I find his approach to self-inquiry very helpful in letting go of egoic attachments. His teachings are helping me awaken to Truth.

Mooji, aka Anthony Paul Moo-Young and Tony Moo to his friends, is from Antonio, Jamaica and now lives in England. He attributes his awakening to an unnamed Christian mystic in England in 1983. He visited with Papaji, the Indian guru from Lucknow, for three months in 1993 and he then recognized Papaji as his Master and Guru. After Papaji’s death, Mooji clarified the nature of the True Master: "That Principle that manifests as the Master is ever HERE NOW. The True Master never dies, it is the mister that dies. The true Master, that Sat Guru within, alone is the Real".

Mooji will offer Satsang via an Internet radio program on Sovereign Mind Radio. This is an audio-only program.

Tantra Tip of the Day – True Meditation and Self-Inquiry

The Buddha said that the causes of suffering were grasping and aversion. True Meditation supports you in being present and accepting what is. The habit of looking outside of youself to find happiness begins to dissolve. You become more spacious and open. When you are quiet, wisdom has a place to arise. You have laid a foundation for your spiritual practice. True Meditation also involves a second step.

While allowing everything to be as it is frees you from grasping. Adyashanti recommends adding a second step he calls, “meditative self-inquiry.” Adding it your meditation practice will deepen your awareness even further. He came upon this practice on his own, later he learned that it had a long history in India, where it is sometimes called Jnana Yoga.

Ramana Maharshi, a 20th century Indian sage, was a well known teacher of this method. The first question he recommended exploring is “Who am I?” Adyashanti prefers the question, “What am I?” The easiest way to begin your investigation is often to examine what you not. As you recognize what you are not, slowly you begin to discover your true nature is awareness. You discover that this “I” that you have thought of as who you are, is not what appears to be.

Try this: Spend some time today exploring the question, “Who or what am I?” Enter this process fresh, letting go of any preconceived ideas. Stay as present as possible, don’t hurry your exploration, find the deeper truth. Don’t just think about the question engage your full consciousness in your investigation. See what you discover.
